NEW Year Honour

Alasdair Nicholson, Chief Executive of Third Sector Hebrides, has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours List for “services to the voluntary sector in the Western Isles”.

Alasdair Nicholson said, “This was a complete surprise to me when I got a letter from the Cabinet Office just before Christmas. This award reflects well on the whole team at Third Sector Hebrides, past and present, as well as the contribution from the volunteer Board members who have all helped in our achievements. It has been humbling to have been included in the New Year Honours List, and I would like to thank all those who have worked with us. I would also like to thank the many people who have sent in messages of congratulation from the Islands as well as colleagues from the Scottish mainland.”
